cerith snails will get down into the bed and not just surface correct?. Also exactly which stars are good at getting down into the bed. 130MT with a good 3-4 inch bed so I'm thinking of about 50 or so. Opinions. No crabs or aggressive fish in the tank.
Thanks Dewayne :happyfish

my cerith snails never go into my sandbed they are either on my glass or on my lr. nass. snails will burrow into the sand. i wouldn't get a sand star from what i hear they can burrow straight down in your sandbed...eat what is there...still stay there until they die of starvation have you considered a diamond goby?

Diamond Gopy is the way to go. He keeps my 90 bright white and doesnt just rely on whats in the sand to live. Not to mention they are a blast to watch and not shy at all while they work. The pictures shown is just the Diamond gobys I never touch my sand bed.

I have heard that a diamond goby could move all your sand to one corner and they can knock over rocks in small tanks. Would a 70 gallon tank be to small?

no stars........ you should never get a star to clean your sandbed.. unless it is fully established.. sand sifting stars are meat eaters and will deplete your pod population completely. chocalate chip stars are not reef safe and brittle stars just hang out and populate. they are filter feeders.
the best cleaners your going to find are conches..... fighting and queen.
