I got a 28g HQI today from my wife. Heres the thing though, I was going to order the one that has been souped up in the lighting dept. from another site but she beat me to it and just ordered a regular HQI.
Is the lighting and pumps and power heads on the regular HQI good enough to have a reef tank and still be able to add about any type of coral if i want to?
If not im sending it back and getting the one from n**o Tu***s. Please tell me your opinion before i make her mad! LOL thanks.

yea im planing and geting the jbj 28 gallon Halide system and its $550, only 150w of light, wish i had a wife like that lmao im only 18 so no wife=(. i kno there is a 60 dollar mod for mine that addz 2x 18wat lights to the hood which i plan on doin. Anyway wats stoping u from geting another tank lmao u should be like ~oh huny, thanx so much for this QT/frag tank~ hehehe.

It is plenty of light for basically any coral you want. And like halo said you can get the actinic upgrade for 60 bucks and it is quite easy to install.

hey what she don't know can't hurt her. lmao make sure she don't check these forums. would love to hear from u on what u think of the new light upgrade when u put it in=P also do u have a chiller? big problem for me right now b/c im very money limited and chillers r expensive.

No chiller, in the area im in i more than likely wont need one. I'll report on lights after install.
