Well, I guess it will be Obama vs. Romney in the next election.
Thoughts?
Pros and cons of the two candidates?

Ron & Newt are still in it. Every 'Not Mitt' has had his turn when the one before left (including Newt) so I figure we are going to see Ron start beating out Mitt in the polls. Atleast for a month to make it fun.

If you talk to the resident Conservatives and Tea Party members across the country, you'd have a couple thousand pages of cons on Obama.
Romney is losing in the polls by double digits against Obama when it comes to women. Pretty much the same with the minorities. If Obama can manage to keep the unemployment numbers going down, and more importantly, find some way to get the price of gas down to $2.85 - $3.25 per gallon range for the summer, Romney will probably end up the same way McCain did in 2008.

Lots of ifs
Unemployment is closer to 11 percent than 8. You can only fudge the numbers for so long. While the unemployment rate is listed as going from 8.3 to 8.2 last month participation in the workforce dropped from 63.9 to 63.8 percent and that doesn't include the number of people working part time. Unless the economy really takes off good the numbers are going to backlash once more people try to jump back in to the workforce. This is the third year things started out nice. Hopefully the crappy job numbers for last month don't mean this is going to fizzle like they did the last two years at this time. I want 0bama' arrogant butt gone but not at the expense of the economy.

Lets see here Real Inflation is running about 6% not the 2% the Goverment is Claiming since Energy and FOOD are not included in it. Unemployment if you INCLUDE Everyone that dropped out of the Labor Pool is acutally 18% not 8.2% since there are 3 Million more people NOT working now than there where in 2009 when he took office. Those are the People that have Dropped out of the Labor pool since they have Quit Looking for WORK. Then you have the Gas Prices at their Highest level this early and only going higher for summer. Gas was only 1.86 in 2009 It is close to 4 bucks a gallon now what will it be this summer over 5 bucks a gallon.
The only thing Obama has to Run on is Fear. Fear that the Republicans are going to Overturn Obamacare Fear that he can not beat Rommney on his RECORD now that he has one. Fear that he has spent more in Deficets in 3 years than Bush 1 Bush 2 Regan and CLINTON did COMBINED in 28 YEARS. So what can he run on FEAR and FEAR alone that the NASTY OLD GOP is going to take someones FREE GOVERMENT STUFF AWAY.

You sound like every analyst on Fox News. There's a grey line on the data of who "dropped out of the workforce" and why. A lot of those individuals just said screw it, and decided to retire. Some moved to other professions, or are getting education to start a totally different career. The gas prices are no higher than what they were at the end of Bush's last term. Factor out the deficit spending he inherited from Bush, and it's not as extreme you make it out to be. This election will become a popularity contest, with Obama smiling all the way back to the White House. Romney's already disenfranchised some of the popular vote, and even the people on his side don't believe in him. He's a RINO through and through.

You should go to work for BSNBC LOL! You are inaccurate enough. Gas prices no higher now than at the end of Bush's last term??? It was under 2 bux a gallon.
People who moved on to another profession are um, E M P L O Y E D. Some folks took early retirement and some are in school. And there are a WHOLE LOT who are waiting for the economy to pick back up.

300 Billion with EVERYTHING compared to 1.4 TRILLION which is MORE. 300 Billion was the Defict in 2008 the last year Congress PASSED a Budget. For Fisical 2011 the Deficiet was 1.4 TRILLION Dollars. Or in something we all can understand for 300 Billion we can buy from Boeing 900 747-800's fully LOADED or with 1.4 Trillion we can get 4200 of the same plane from Boeing. Each 747-800 costs 333 MILLION dollars we could get 4.666 times MORE planes under the amount the DEFICET has gone up UNDER OBAMA and he has had 3 YEARS LIKE THIS. So do not give this he has been good for Spending and CUT it WHERE sure as hell not anyplace I CAN SEE.

Try again.
In the summer of 2008, gas was hitting around $4.12/gallon. It was around $2.86 in in April, 2007, and kept going up from there.

Why would anyone wait for the economy to pick back up to go looking for a job? What you have is a bunch of people who didn't want to settle for a job making less pay. Some guy pulling $70K - $80K a year gets laid off, and another company has the same job but only wants to pay $50K. Pride sets in, and they don't take the job. The jobs are out there, people just don't want to work them for less money.

BS on that right now my Wife who 2 years ago was making 14 bucks an hour at a UNION Nursing home however when a Twister leveled part of this town a cut off the ENTIRE southern end to the point it took 20 miles of DETOURS to even get to the Northside of town she Lost her job since she made the choice to stay with HER FAMILY that needed her. Where was her Union they refused to back her claim for an Unfair Firing. So what did she end up doing Telemarkating for Minumum wage for 2 years the place lost the Contract so now SHE WORKS FOR MC DONALDS. Do not give me this crap people are to proud to work for less.
I have a cousin that went from 200K a year at Square D to 140K a year at Motorola and Kissed the feet of the Personal Manager that GAVE HIM THE JOB. He lost 60K a year in his job and he is celebrating the fact HE HAS A JOB. So do not give me that crap people are working in jobs that are beneath them. They are I know of people with MBA's that are OTR Drivers as that was teh ONLY job they could get right now. Called the ECONOMY has tanked WORSE UNDER OBAMA and still has NOT RECOVERED. Companies near me are NOT replacing equipment at all and they are running the stuff they have until it Falls apart. Compaines that replaced stuff on a 4 year cycle in the OTR industry are now on a 6 year cycle that tell you anything. Schiender the Largest OTR fleet instead of getting NEW trucks this year ordered 9000 Glider Kits with 2000 model Engines from the Traded in TRUCKS. They are hording cash because they are scard to DEATH. They saved 40K a unit by doing that yet IDIOTS say the economy is BETTER THE HELL IT IS.

Yea dufus, 12/19/08 was AFTER Obama was elected. Foreign oil saw a change away from the Bush regime, and oil prices dropped dramatically. New President, prices dropped. You want to give Bush credit for the price drop when he was effectively done? Brother.

This coming from someone who lives in the most depressed part of the nation when it comes to jobs. You live in Auto Manufacturing USA. What do you expect?
Don't go talking about unions here. That's a four letter word to the majority of posters on this site. Good for your wife. She's the exception, not the rule.
OTR companies don't buy new equipment on the old cycle any longer because of the tighter Federal regulations that went into effect on those trucks starting about 7 years ago. They buy the older equipment because it doesn't have to adhere to the new standards. Why do I know this? Because I have a close friend who works for a company that is a main supplier for Freightliner, International, Mack, and Paccar.

The price of crude hit a low of $45/barrel at the end of 2008, which is why the price of gas was so low. At the beginning of 2009, the recession started to hit, which slowed demand, which in turn increased the cost for a barrel of oil. Hence why the price of gas started climbing back up. So in reality, it was Bush's fault because he was the idiot that drove us into the recession in the first place! BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Here's a nice lesson into why gas prices go up and down:

So "At the beginning of 2009, the recession started to hit, which slowed demand which in turn increased the cost for a barrel of oil"
Right here folks is the type of "logic" that led to 0bama being the Democrat nominee for president. People who don't understand the basic concept of supply and demand thought it made sense to choose a nominee who had no legislative achievements nor had ever ran anything over all those other Democrats who at least had a clue.
His own link even states "Like most of the things you buy, oil prices are affected by supply and demand. More demand, like the summer driving season, drives higher prices"
Oh, and who controlled both houses of congress leading into the recession? Bush might have been driving but Reid put the gas in the tank and Pelosi was navigating. Either one of them were in a position to force a change of direction if it were so obvious we were heading the wrong way.
