i fed my grouper fresh scallops (not in shell) from the grocery store yesterday. He loved em; he ate 10. This morning i noticed that half of em are back in the tank half eaten or whole. Im assuming they came out of him mouth and not the other end because they are rather large pieces.
Can fish not consume these? Or was grouper just too full to eat anymore.

Scallops are good for your fish. I use them in my home made food. Maybe your grouper just ate too many.

Yeah...you gotta feed in moderation.
Just because your Grouper will eat 10 of them, doesn't mean he needs to...unless he's like a 20lb behemouth.

groupers and lions will actually eat till they puke if you let them, and they always seem hungry. The scallops are great for him, so is shrimp, and squid. Any fresh seafood is superior to pre packaged fish food, just don't over do it. Feeding a grouper every other day is plenty, remember anything you put in your tank will become pollution, which will decrease water quality and increase the need for cleaning the tank.
