Scary Surprise!!!!!

My BF knew that I wanted Blue Reef Chromis to add to my reef tank. In an attempt to surprise me, he mistakenly bought 3 Blue Devil / Samoan Damsels. Our 40g has been a peaceful tank that houses 2 perc clowns, 3 green chromis, 1 psuedochromis, 1 bar-goby, 1 bengaii cardinal, and a temporary resident a baby Regal Tang. There are a few shrimp too. Is there any chance these fish can co-exist peacefully? The Damsels are babies. Do I need to find new homes? Anyone with experience please give me your advice.

Ouch, bummer.
I would put money on the fact that those fish will be a big problem soon. Your problem is going to be removal, they are fast and very good at hiding under rock. There are a few traps you can get that can work if your lucky, but when I had one in my tank it took a good hour or so of removing one rock at a time until I had the fish tired out enough to catch.

The worst part of this story is the fact that your tank already had too many fish.

I personally like blue devils.

I agree with wax that the tank was already overstocked.

Can anyone anwer the damsel question? The Tang will be moving once the larger tank arrives. Can the Chromis, Psuedo and the Damsels play nice together?

There is no guarantees. The fact that they are small now is a plus. I have seen damsels generally settle down into their own niches, after an initial battle for territory.
If they are not in your tank, then take them back. If they are....its a moot point now.
