how big is he? If not too big then maybe a school of Large cromis?
If the Volitan isn't big enough to eat the chromis now, he soon will be. They grow as fast as any fish we keep.

its a long 100. yes he is the only fish and about 6inches. i like the shimmer effect the blue/green chromies have, but he would have a field day with all the chromies that i have found. dont they top out around 3-4inches, thats still not big enough. im thinking yellow tangs might be my only option. but have mixed feelings on them.

Its really hard to find fish that tightly school in a DT, especially after they are established. The tight, protective schools that exist in nature and, sometimes, in dealers tanks (IMO, because of stress); just don't seem to form in a DT. Fish, like yellow tangs, will hang out with each other. But with time, seem to establish their own territory. BTW; yellow tangs will tear each other apart if you don't have at least 3; and I think 3 grown YTs in a 100 gal will be crowded. Your Volitan will easily reach 12"; you'll be amazed how fast; if he's well fed.
