Scinaia Macroalgae

I got a surprise last week.... a little branch of red macroalgae cropped up in the 12g tank that's housing some of the rock from my 110g tank breakdown. It's definitely a Scinaia genus.....looks like Scinaia turgida to me.
My question is, does anyone have experience with this species? Is it slow growing, or will it grow out of control? I like the color and shape that's taking form, and I'd love to transplant some of this into my seahorse tank.

I asked "my algae guy"
about it, and he say he thinks that while Scinaia isn't exactly seen much in the hobby, for care/information, it should be pretty similar to the more commonly kept Codium.

LOL "algae guy." Good title IMO!
Thanks for the input. I'm going to google Codium know.
I haven't transplanted it yet. The 12g has a 96w PC fixture over it, and this stuff popped out of an old piece of LR that had been transplanted from my 110g when I broke that down. I'd never seen it before when the rock was in the display tank, but I suspect one of the fish there (take your pick: Koran angel, Coral Beauty, or Foxface) was keeping it trimmed down so I never saw it. Now that it's being left alone, it has grown to a 1 inch ball in about 3 weeks time. I sort of want to see how fast it grows before adding it to the horse tank. Can't be worse than some of the Caulerpa I want to add, but I'll watch it for a little while longer...just in case.
