Scooter Blennies question

Will a Scooter Blenny eat algea just like a Lawnmower Blenny? and how fast will they eat agea?

My scooter blenny doesn't eat algae off my tank, but I have heard that most do... I personally feed it Formula 2 (with algae in it), Wardley shrimp pellets, frozen brine shrimp, and tetraexotic sinking pellets. Mine is about 3inches and doesn't eat much at a time, so I feed it 3 times a day. IE. breakfast: 1 shimp pellet, lunch: brine shrimp or formula 2 (1/3 of a cube), and dinner: 1 tetraexotic sinking pellet.

Scooter Blennies are NOT blennies - they're dragonets like the Mandarin and have similar requirements ie - a well established tank with alot of LR. They're easier to get to eat prepared foods than a Mandarin, but, like Mandarins, eat the various 'pods found on live rock, NOT algae.

RG, I forgot to state that. Any how, they are cool fish with different feeding habits.

I have a red scooter and he will not eat anything except for the critters on the rock and live brine.
