Scooter Blennie's ???

Does anyone know why blennie's bury itself under the crushed coral. We have a little one and then bought a bigger one, the bigger one just takes a dive sometimes he has his head sticking up,and sometimes his whole body is covered. He is very fine and healthy and fat but really cute, likes to play with us, i think he's more interested in what were doing. Any clues to why he /she buries itself? Probably inbred behaviour . . .. Or?

i think thats just their way of hiding. whenever i turn out the lights mine sinks into the sand and all you can see are eyeballs. as soon as u turn on the light it pops up out of the sand and starts hunting again.

Mine likes to hide under a rock at night. When ever I feed them he swims to the mid-surface of the water like the rest of the fish to eat.

Mine burries itself in the sand at night with only its eyes sticking out.
