Greetings all, i just purchased a scooter blenny from the LFS, after acclimation i introduced him to the tank and he swam right to the back of the live rock, and burried himself in the sand. Today he is just sitting in front of the tank, not moving much. His breathing seems normal, but he really isnt moving much. He doesnt scoot around and peck at the sand as i would think he would be. He has been in the tank for about 20 hours now. My water parameters are:
pH:8.3
ammonia:0
nitrites:0
nitrates:0
salinity:1.023
temp: 78.9
any idea whats goin on????
Thanks,
Greg

Yes, he was very active in the store pecking at the sand and hopping all around the tank. I watched him there for awhile, he seemed perfectly healthy and active.

yes. give him time to get aquainted with his neighbors. My jawfish disappeared for a week before I saw him again.

i have one and he is awesome. but he does sleep in the sand so maybe thats what yours is doing. wouldnt know for sure tho. it took mine about a week and a half to get energetic and crazy and now he definitely is worth it
