Scooter Blenny with CC substrate?

Hey everyone. I was at my LFS today, and seen a scooter blenny. I had never actually stopped to watch one, but I was intrigued by its behavior. First fish I've ever seen "walk" on its fins :) Anyway, to my point. I want one. The only problem I see at this point is I have a CC substrate (bad thing, I know). In an established tank, after say 6 months, do you all think a scooter would be able to make it with CC? It would be probably the last fish I added, in a 55 gallon with 40-50# of LR. Its tankmates would be: coral beauty angel, false percula, and a powder brown tang. Opinions?

I have had scooter blennies in my old tank with cc. I didn't know what I know about keeping marine fish, and didn't have the right equiptment. The scooter blennies, (2), were very hardy and lived the whole time I had the tank. I had to return them to the lfs, when I tore my tank down. The tank was up for about 1 yr.
I would see no problem geting one. They eat mostly left over food and algea. Don;t realy sift through sand..
Hope this helps :p

tehy are pod eaters, and most do not have a big prob with weening to meaty food, but i never saw our scooter eat algae(lawnmowers and algaes and red lips , but not scooters)
the only prob with cc is that they love to hide in the sand bed at night, they bury themselves in the sand, right up to their eyeballs at night(they don't really stir it, but just settle down into it, this would be more difficult, at best in cc)
now, we got ours and it had a mixed bed of cc and sand at the time, and that did not seem to be a big problem, big prob, but it was mostly sand with some cc(at the time)
they are also a very hearty and easy to care for fish, especially if you get them to eat food

skooby, like i said, that is the only problem with cc(odds are against them doing this in cc, it is very coarse), they like to bury themselves in sand, not cc ;)

Ive had a scooter blenny in my 55 gal tank for 6 months . very hardy fish I love it eats any thing gets along with all types of other fish. If you get one though get a peice of dead scalop shell . I have one About 6" tall and 5" wide with about 9 or 10 openings. He uses it as a home its also great to watch him zip in and out of it. also its a good idea to have if you need to catch them . they are to fast to catch in the open.

he will be like a mandarinfish with live rock and weening probably isnt going to be that easy <img src="graemlins//uhuh.gif" border="0" alt="[U-Huh]" />
