very good score. Awesome, what are you going to do with it? Pred tank, frag tank, tank w/ coral and tons of small fishes, like a school of green chromis (like 20 chromis)

prob it look about the same size as mine. I used it for a seahorse tank. Mine wasnt drilled, so I sold it and got a 56 gal that was.

This one is drilled.
I was thinking pred, but everything needs to get along with a lunar wrasse..

Sorry for the bad news, but a Lunar wrasse will get too big for that tank. Not only size wize, but considering they are very fast swimmers, they need at least a 125gal tank. That's the recommended tank size for one.

Most places say 75G, at any rate this fish was sold to me as reef safe and good for 55G.. needless to say I was given bad intel at the shop. I am going to keep him in the new tank soon until he outgrows it. I am more interested in what fish will get along with him. other wrasse? any predator fish?

Thalassoma wrasses can get along with pretty much any other fish, though I wouldn't put another Thalassoma in the same tank. They are usually not agressive except at feeding time when they can be pretty intense, even bite other fish by mistake, like if they're going for the same piece of food. So what fish do you like?

Your fish is definitely a Lunare not a Lutescens.
Tankmates for a 54gal-bow with a Lunare, that's tough, but one of the larger hawkfish (not a flame or Longnose) would be a good choice, and the biggest dwarf angel you can find. We had a monster 4.5" Half Black angel that would hold it's own with anything. Key-hole angels usually available pretty large.

ID'ing a Lunare from the other Thalassoma wrasses is fairly easy. Just look at the pectoral fins. Purple with blue edging is quite distinctive from the other species.
Butterflyfish would be tough, mostly trying to feed them with that wrasse zooming around getting all the food. Also, again I see space being an issue with the larger, more bold Butterflies like the Raccoon and Auriga.
