Scorps that shed.

Some scorps shed their skin or cuticle... you can see mine is beginning to shed right now. Because of their sedate lifestyles they can gather an abundance of parasites, algae and other microfauna/flora.

Tomorrow he'll be nice a purple again.
This is a pic of some shed from the eschymeyeri.

Remove all sheds. The fish is trying to get rid of it, no need to leave it in the tank, especially where it can contain parasites.

Just get it with a kabob stick.... it comes up like a sheet of snot.

My fuzzy dwarf sheds from time to time too, but I never bothered to get that out. Usually gets sucked up in the overflow.

It won't hurt in there, but if there are parasites on it I rather have them out of the tank.

So they shed because algae and other things can grow on them? Very interesting.
