scratched glass

my feeder clip is on a piece of fishing line and it came loose from the suction cup last night and rubbed against the glass allnight. now my tank has some horrendous scratches on it any way to drain to that level and fix or is there something can be done underwater what products do you guys reccomend?
any help appreciated

scratches are like a pendulum swing as the clip swang back and forth all night in the current

A plastic clip will not "gouge" glass. It looks as if it left some plastic residue on the glass. Take a razor blade and scrape the smudge off.

OMG your are my savior so simple its brilliant i had tried to use a plastic scraper and no effect never thought about a razor blade but it was exactly like you had said just plastic residue.
I would never have thought...... I was just about ready to trash the tank and start over
