Scratches on glass tank

How do you remove or can you?? I am finally getting closer on setting up my tank and when I turned on the lights I noticed a bunch of scratches on the inside. The tank is a AGA 125g that was used for a snake by someone else. I bought the tank from him last year in May. Didnt notice the fine scratches till I turned on the lights today. Looks like they cleaned it with a rough pad.

how deep are the scratches? Ive heard of buffing them out, but the scratches cant be felt with your fingernail. It also takes a lot of buffing and time. Yahoo: buffing glass scratches.
