Hi Hanky!
How do you scratch glass? I've heard people say that glass scratches can be worse than acrylic; but, having both, I prefer glass. I haven't had a scratch in glass yet while my acrylic is full of them... How'd do it?

I have a couple scratches also and am not sure how I did it. I am guessing it was when I was cleaning the glass, but who knows my tank is probably 20 years old.

Last time I checked around, it was not possible to repair the scratch. Especially while the tank was full. One glass shop I contacted said it'd probably be easier to replace the glass panel than to try and repair it. I'm living with my scratch for now.

Take it from me...if your tank is really bad, in that the scratches affects the way it looks, replace it. I had a 150 that was really bad, I tried serium oxide, buffing, the whole 10 yards w/no satisfaction. I finally replaced it.

isn't epoxy water and fish safe? you might be able to do a little something with that to fill in a scratch and smooth it by hand.
