screw in bulb

has anyone ever used the kind of bulb that are marc weis i think and they screw into normal light sockets but are supposed to be as good as metal halide, what did u think about them

Never seen or heard of these.But I cant immagine any incandesant bulb being as good as a MH.Email me a link if you could,I'd like to check it out...

I know what you're talking about, but I've never actually seen one in use. They are actually similar to halide lights, and the ballast is built into them. They are not much different in cost to halide bulbs, but you don't have to have a special ballast, so in the long run they are probably cheaper, but I don't know if they work good... but a lot of people like mark weiss products..
