screw in power compact

has anybody tried one of the all-glass screw in power compacts.
they scew in where a incandescent bulb goes.

these would be great for a 2.5 minibow or something close to that size
and they are ten bucks

I use two of the coralife 10W 50/50 bulbs in addition to a 27W curly 6700K screw in and a 13W actinic bookworm on my 10gal. It seems to be working pretty well so far.

That is where I got the 6500K 27W screw in bulb. There are also 42W 6500K bulbs somewhere on that same site. I got the 13W bookworm from Home Depot. They are called Rite Lights and are in the trouble light sections. It is a clear tube with a bulb in it and yellow endcaps. Good luck.

I've seen the same light @ wal-mart for $4.50 or so....
