I have a bank of LEDs that I got from a taillight at work. My question here is would I be able to get some type of transformer for them so that I could possibly use them to light below the tank?

I tried to check it out online but cant find one on their site. do you know what they are called. I looked driver and transformer to no avail

its from a car or truck tail light? If so all you need is a 120 AC to 12 Volt DC rectifier.

The 2ed one you get what you want and buy a end to match, then wire into your lights. hope it helps.

I shouldve thought about them being red or white. they are red so I cant use them for what I was going to. I hooked them up to a 12v battery to test them out.

yeah, get yourself a project box, stick the rectifier in there. Wire it so you can plug it in, then run it to the pigtail. I'd think about mounting it into a piece of foam board then gluing the whole thing onto the top of the stand and see how that works.
