I have the seaclone 100, so I can't help with the measurement aspect. I will however, suggest that you consider some other brands. As I mentioned, I have the seaclone 100 and it is very inconsistent. It ocassionally pulls stuff out, but mostly I just spend hours fiddling with it trying to get it to work. Last month I ordered a Corallife Super Skimmer 125 for my new 90g and it works inceredibly. I set it up in under 20 min and it was pulling stuff out almost instantly. The CSS has been very low maintenance and trouble free. The money you would save by going with the seaclone doesn't help if the skimmer can't pull stuff out of the water. All you end up with is an expensive powerhead. I know there are a number of other great skimmers available and hopefully a few other folks will chime in. I would just steer away from purchasing the seaclone if possible.

What a joke of a skimmer

Either one is way too small for a 90 gallon anyway. the 150 really isn't much more of a skimmer than the 100. Same size small pump/powerhead, same diameter just a tall 100. No 3.5" wide skimmer powered by a 295gph pump is going to be powerful enough for anything but a small tank regardless of how well it will or wont work (which I dont care to debate anymore).

Sand125, I'm at work so I don't have any pics, but if you can find the corallife website they have a huge (well big for a manufactuer) Q&A forum where a company tech can actually answer any questions and provide exact dimensions and pictures. I don't think that the CSS is the "prettiest" or most compact HOB skimmer, but it was very easy to set up and has been pulling out all kinds of great stuff. After dealing with the seaclone skimmer I think the small price increase for the CSS was well worth it. From my reasearch and short personal experience, the CSS seems to be one of the best in its price range and is one of the few effective skimmers that can be set up as a HOB skimmer. It can also be set up in-sump. Try googling to find the corallife website/forum page and they can answer way more questions than I could.

I did fine with a SeaClone 150 on a 240g reef for over 4 years. Pulled junk just fine. Water always good. Fish always good, inverts/corals good. No problems.
No, it will not stick up above your canopy--it stands about 4" above the top of the tank.

Why would anyone with all the posts on the internet in regards to the seaclowns want to stillpurhcase somehting that is a spityfull as a seaclown skimmer when a pretty decent Coralife skimmer can be had for the same amount of money that actually works or other skimmers that wor can be had for a few bucks more. Sure is a mystery why folks like to buy a known crappy item.

Maybe it's 'user error' for the neigh sayer's....with regard to a SeaClone
WHATEVER skimmer you choose, we applaud your efforts and acknowledgement that adding a skimmer is a GOOD thing!
