Sea Clone Skimmer

I have a 150 sea Clone....it was working great until about two weeks ago.....it is not producing foam....the air valve is completely open....can the intake be blocked??? it is still intaking and outaking water but at a lower pressure....any thoughts??

Mine quits foaming sometimes and the cause is usually salt buildup in the air valve. I usually soak it in fresh water and it's fine...

mine gets plugged also, sometimes i can just take off the bulb and suck/blow a few times to free it up

I have had the same problems with my sea clone. I got to the point were I was fed up and went out and bought a Back Pac. That was the best thin I have ever spent money on. I love it but it is a little bit loud. You will be impressed enough you wont mind the noise and it will do such a better job. When I had the clone I thought it was pulling an ample amout of waste out but with the back pac I now no it wasn't even close to doing its job.

I gotta clean mine up every once in a while and it seems to run better. Also I fiddle with the air valve a bit. Overall it functions ok but takes a lot of tinkering. The only reason I keep mine is because it fits in my cramped sump easily. I've also added the airstone which helps.
