Sea Cucumber

Just added a sea cucumber to do some bottom cleaning. When I put it in it crawled across the bottom to one of my live rocks. He crawled up it and is now sitting on the top of the rock just hanging out. Is this normal, I thought they liked the sand?!

I dont recommend cukes because the usually contain toxins that if released could wipe the tank.
