What size tank is this fish now in? What other inhabitants are there? Did she do any research before she purchased the fish?
The Sea Goblin is typically various shades of browns and reds, though coloration of this species is highly variable. As a member of the Scorpionfish family, the dorsal spines of these fish are VENOMOUS. It is common to see these fish walking over substrate searching for prey or lying motionless on the substrate or on rocks, waiting for its next meal to enter the vicinity. A predator by nature, the Sea Goblin should not be housed with fish and inverts small enough to be consumed.
Please note: This fish is very venomous and can cause serious injury. Be aware of where this fish is in the aquarium during feeding and maintenance as most stings occur due to this fish's excellent camoflauge and the aquarist's inattention. If a sting should occur, medical attenttion may be necessary.
