Sea urchin losing it's spines.

I have a purple spiny sea urchin and it has lost all it's spines. Now it's bald. Has this happened to anybody else's? Is there anything I can do to help it?

What are your water params and what all is in the tank? Bill

My water levels are, Nitrates:0, Nitrites:0, Ammo:0, Ph:8.1. All I have in it at the time is four shrimp, snails, and an arrow crab. (LR, LS)
