I am using Matrix in my middle chamber of my 29g biocube. I used 2 jars which covers 50g. The stuff never has to be replaced. I, also, have a bag of Purigen in there along with filter/foam floss. I float a bag of Seachem's Carbon in the first chamber and I don't use the filter cartridges that came with it at all. All of that, plus using Seachem's Reef Salt and my parameters have always been right on, knocking on wood!!! I keep my water up fairly high, too. I, also, do weekly water changes of 3-4 gallons and just feed every other day fairly heavily with Cyclopeeze and either frozen mysis or Spectrum's Therma-A pellets. All of my inhabitants are doing really well, again knocking on wood! I use Reef Solution twice a week, too.
