I had one for my First skimmer now I have upgraded to a Corallife 200 SuperSkimmer. When I get my 450 I will be running massive skimmer that sits outside the stand kinda as a decor piece.
You’ve finally done it. You have carved out enough precious space to have the system of your dreams. At last you have room to use components as large as they need to be, no longer choked by the constraints of just what fits in a stand.
You’re going to do this once, and do it right and the Turboflotor 5000 Series is on your wish list.
Visually stunning, the technology and craftsmanship shine through even as it stands idle. All the features and benefits embodied in the 5000 Shorty series live on in these giants. The only thing we added was height, a stretch of the contact chamber that pushes performance and capacity to sublime limits.
If your tank volume has a coma in it, may we suggest the ominous T5000 Twin, nearly six and a half feet tall and motivated by two OR3700 pumps for a total of 1800 gph water re-circulation while drawing in 300 gph of finely chopped air.
Enjoy the power, but don’t let it go to your head.
TurboFlotor 5000 Single Specifications:
- Total Heght: 78"
- Recirculating Pump: Ocean Runner 3700
- Outlet Height: 63"
- Total Capacity: 1,000 gallons
- Reaction Chamber Diameter: 8"
With the Ultimate goal of having this fish as my dream fish

I have the Seaclone 150. Its a good skimmer for the money when you have it tuned right. You have to fight with it till you get it. Once you get it after a while you will have to adjust it again. Its not like your other skimmers that you plug it in and let it work on its own. This one you have to fiddle with it. there are also mods for it. First thing is change that air valve. I still use mine but if I had the money I would trade it in. If you can save up some more I would get a different one.

I have had the 150 and the 100....as said above...they are good for what you spend on them...IMO..They are not as bad as they are made out to be....I still use the 100 on my 54G.
for a 75G I would get the 150.....

i have a seaclone 100 for a 55 that i no longer have setup. the skimmer really gets a bad rap. i've seen mine pull some nasty, thick skimmate. i figured a super easy way to "dial" mine in, and i wouldnt be surprized if other users have the same technique- if you end up getting one, just PM me and i'll give you some tips. though i've never had a coralife super skimmer, the reviews tend to be better than the seaclone and have a pretty comparible price tag. i know nothing about seahorses or their water quality demands, but i'm a firm believer in the benefits of a good skimmer. you get what you pay for.

Mods can help, but you can't fix a seaclone up so that it is very good in my research and ime. They are (imo) less than adequate for the price.
Try to find a skimmer that is at LEAST rated twice for twice as much as your tank ie rated for 150 gallons. Skimmers are grossly underrated.
There were some good names thrown out there. Don't buy a crappy skimmer because chances are you'll need to buy a bigger/better one later on.
HINT: A lot of people will say that seaclones are okay or even good BUT a lot of the time these people will have no experience with better skimmers that they can compare the seaclone to.

+1 I've heard great things and I own an octo100
I've never heard anything negative about octopus skimmers as a matter of fact.
Something to look into OP

They work, but you need to keep a eye on it all the time. I got tired of messing with mine and bought a MSX160.

Seaclone's probably make a good projectile for a potato cannon, but beyond that, not much else...
I could perhaps see if you got one with your tank, but to spend money on a Seaclone would be nuts... Look into Octopus or MSX skimmers as stated above...
