SeaClone Experts Needed

I knew I shouldn't have bought this brand, but I did. So now, how do I get it to work?? LOL
SeaClone Skimmer won't give off the "froth". It's been cycloning now for several days, at various air-water ratios, with no results.
Any advise ?

I DON'T HAVE A SEACLONE, BUT MAYBE THERE ISN'T ANY WASTE IN YOUR TANK. MY SKIMMER SOMETIMES FILLS FASTER THEN OTHERS.

I don't own a Sea Clone but have a ? anyway. Does your skimmer foam at all or is it a dry foam that won't fill your collection cup? What pump came with it? Should be a Maxi-Jet.

Did you get the cylindrical sponge that can with the skimmer? If so, make sure and place the sponge over the the black inlet tube. It shold be covering the black cup looking thing that the air tube is connected to. I did this and the thing was frothing like crazy. Hope this works for you.

beth I have one the seaclone was mass produced by I think sea chem and seaclone used a maxijet to keep the price down but the thing was designed for a rio 800 this is what I use on mine and the thing preforms much better

So does that mean that I have to order another pump for this skimmer??? I already paid $120 for this!

No.. you don't have to buy another pump. My seaclone works great with the pump that it came with.
Are you using hyposalinity ? If your salt density is low, skimmer will not be very productive. With more density, the chances of protein foaming becomes high.

I FOOLED WITH A SEA"CRAP" FOR 2 MONTHS. I FINALLY BOUGHT AN EXCALIBUR AND IT IS AWESOME. I WAS TOLD TO CUT THE INNER TUBE, ON THE SEACLONE, BY 2 INCHES AND BUY A BETTER AIR VALVE. TOO MUCH TROUBLE TO MAKE IT WORK. SORRY YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS.

Yes, I have gotten that advise already....cut the inner tube down, get new valve, even drop and airstone in the cyclonic chamber.....!
These modifications were not what I had in mind when I but out $120 for this pile of @$@%
