SeaClone Protein Skimmer ?

Lately I have noticed that my skimmer doesnt fill up as fast anymore, I dont know if there just isnt any @$@##@ to skim, or if it isnt working properly. It used to have alot of lets say fuzzy bubbles up by the cup but it doesnt anymore. Any ideas?

what size tank, whats in it? how new is the skimmer
i also have a seaclone. not using it yet though. I was going to try it in my sump. Ive heard a good modification on it is taking at that tornado tube in the skimmer,
and adding an airstone to it.
let me know your progress.

have you cleaned the filter attached to the pump or the tube that leads into the base of the skimmer? Has any adjustments been done to the air valve?

for awhile i had the air valve wide open and it worked fine. now i've shut the valve almost all the way and it is working great!!lots of dark green, stinky crap!!

I have a 55 gal. some fish, soft corals , plants. It is about 6 months old, no addujments have been made to the powerhead. It is starting to gather junk, maybe it needed to break in AGAIN. LOL

i just popped my seaclone into my soon to be sump...ive got the air valve wide open...
is this what you guys have done to start it off? its noisy as heck with it wide open!
