Seaclone questions

I started using a seaclone 100 on an established 55 gallon system one week ago. Lots of foam collects in the tube leading up to the collection cup, but it doesn't seem to spill over into the cup itself. I will see pretty much the whole tube full and it looks like its ready to soon spill over into the cup, but when i come back a few hours later all the foam is gone. Is this normal?

It sounds like you need to adjust the water flow. Try adjusting the venturi that allows the air to mix with water. Set it so it's not letting in as much air. It takes a little tweaking to get it adjusted, but ounce it's set you shouldn't need to mess with it anymore.
