40 dollars is a good price i think some people hate them and some people love them ive had mine for about a month now and after tweaking for 2days it works perfect and collects plenty of gunk...but some people dont have much luck with them.

I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for...With that said, There are all kinds of mods you can do that are easy and make them more effi. but wouldnt you want it to be able to do it right out of the box? I myself run a DAS skimmer....and have a Euroreef as a backup..

I have a friend of mine that can't give one away. Some people get a little skimate out of them with constant adjustment and and addition of a wood airstone. Do yourself a favor and get at least an aquaC remora if you must have a HOB skimmer. Just my $.02
