i got a new skimmer seacloen for 70$ seems to be working well but inside after a a month is brown redish with algae growth is that ok?

After a while you will have corraline algea growing on the inside of your tube. It is perfectly fine.

I designed and built my skimmer and have it where I can clean most of it. It is a good idea to keep your skimmer clean.

i have a sea cyclone, and all the tubings are brown. but it still works great. the only thing that i have done is remove the sponge filter off the ph. this cuts down on the restriction of water flow.
by the way predator, i like your diy skimmer. im impressed!

Tru Conch thank you for taking the time to look. I appreciate the compliment. It's a monster. 3ft tall and has a 7in diameter. I have a little giant 4(1200gph) running it.
