I've got one and it works well.
Look to see if it is a newer model because the newer ones will work a hundred times better.
Look to see if the center riser tube is around 3 to 4 inches. If so it is a newer model or has been modified already.
If the tube rises almost to the top then its an older model and needs to be modified to work correctly.

i am doing the same with my eclipse. the seaclone is for the hood and i am going to add more lights and turn it into a reef.

To get the seaclone to fit in the back of the eclipse hood you will need to cut a very small section out. I did this with a dremel tool and it was very easy to do.
As far as adding lights I went with 2 NO bulbs but you can also make a PC fixture fit back there also.
