Seahorse color

Tuesday I received an order for 2 yellow kuda seahorses. They are doing great, except that they are not yellow. They arrived pale brown/dark cream. I thought it might take a few days to get adjusted, but they seem to have gotten darker. Now they are dark brown/black. How long before they get yellow in color?
The reidi I have them with are highlighter yellow. There are 2 yellow gorgonians and 3 orange tree sponges. A few shaving brush and blade plants.
The new kuda have been eating great. I feed them dethawed mysis and spirulina enriched brine. The night before they arrived my peppermint shrimp eggs hatched. When I put the seahorses into they tank they went into a feeding frenzy eating about a third of the baby shrimp cloud at the top of the tank. There were several hundred baby shrimp, but they only lasted 2 days.

They like to imitate there background. if you want them more yellow put more yellow in the tank.

as far as i know there not chameleons. they change color because of there feelings. they can change if they get excited, scared, sick, happy. mine changed colors when i fed them, and especially when i did water changes since they got excited.
it could just be shipping that made them change there colors.
there is also the second option..the guy lied about the color?
but most likely there just getting used to everything. giv them time, i wouldn't worry much of it.
