seahorse feeding

i started a seahorse only tank.5 seahorses in all. 3 are eating well. 2 will not eat. i have even tried isolating them. so far i have tried live brine shrimp and also live ghost shrimp. any ideas on types of food to try live or frozen ? anyone know any tricks too get them to eat? PLEASE HELP!!!!!! :)

unfortunatly this is the #1 problem with keeping seahorses,,,Getting them to eat.Some will eat almost anything that you put in the tank.These are the ones you want.But some will just not eat at all in captivity.They will slowly starve too death.Have you tried frozen MYSIS shrimp???That is the only thing my horses would eat....Also remember that they need to eat more than once a day.You should be feeding them small ammounts two or three times a day.Good luck with your pickey eaters.

i was luck when i got a seahorse a couple years ago to eat. Mine took frozen brime shrimp and blood woorms.

by the way what kind of filter are you running in the seahorse tank? i am interested in starting one up

it is an eclipse system 12 with the bio-wheel. i've been told this will do but may need very frequent water changes.if you do start a tank check out the word seahorse under the search section. i got alot of info and links there. good luck!
