if anyone out there has ever cared for a seahorse...or knows how to I would love to know...I am interested in having a separate tank specifically for them and would like to know if this is recommended and if so what size? is there any special kind of seahorses that are better than others?
any info. on the subject would be a plus...not sure where to go and find any info. on the awesome little creatures.

Yes, a separate species tank is a good way to go, and it can be on the smaller side (under 30g). But it is important to keep it a seahorse tank and not put other territorial fish in there, and generally not corals. Keep in mind that seahorses generally need to be fed live food at least twice -generally three times- a day. This is often enriched brine or very small ghost shrimp or mysis. This is a major reason seahorses often die in our care. But there are many successful keepers out there, you just have to know it is not easy or carefree :)
