please read alo more about seahorses. like seahorse.org
you should know, if you plan to keep horses, that crabs are a definate NO NO. and they can be dmaaged,or damage corals. manderins need tanks around 14g+. but kudas are fairly large horses. I doubt you could fit one happy kuda in a 14g to be honest.
remember, research resear ch research, then when you think your ready to keep one, research more, lol.

You have alot of research to do. Frankly, a 14 gallon is way to small for multiple kudas. Gorgonians are great for hitching, certain types are more readily accepted than others. Most times Seahorses are kept in species only tanks. They are not aggressive enough of feeders to allow competitors in the tank and many tank companions can be dangerous to the seahorses.

I second and third this. I've had fish for 27 years(5 of that is salt), and I thought I was ready for seahorses. I lost my first seahorse to a parasite that is prone to develope in water levels that are not keep at perfect levels. The parasite Valiant had, currently has no known cure.
After an extreme amount of research I discovered what the parasite was and what triggered the path to disaster. I am now keeping dwarf seahorses (ponies) and I need to change the tank water at least every 3-4 days.Horses need a tank that is at least twice ans high as the horse....Kuda~ 8 to 10 inches.....so tank needs to be at least 24 inches high. There is tons of information within this forum. Start forming a tank plan, research each type of seahorse.
Good Luck

not for seahorses...they need more water changes, and if you are asking specifically about the dwarves, then most definitely...you can't take water from your established tank for the little guys because there are so many things in your tank that are harmless there but would kill a dwarf seahorse. maybe not every 3 days or so...but definitely once a week...and maybe more depending on feeding

I also do a nice 4 gallon water change in my 37 gallon sh tank (4 kudas) every single week!! My horses love cleaning day, all 4 of them and are out and about in the tank afterwards like a bunch of little kids...well, OK, I love cleaning day too!!
