Hi Everyone
As you see I'm new to this board (not really - I was on here years ago & forgot my login!) I'm not new to the hobby just rusty with it now because I've JUST returned to Saltwater Aquariums after 3 or so years because my boyfriend had heard so much about the 3 tanks I USE to have! Well for Christmas "surprise" he got me a 24g Nano to start again.....but HERE is my favorite picture of my Seahorses I had..(Fred & Ginger) becase after I lost them...I tore the tank down I had & packed it away.....

So - thats why I check in on your board now (seahorse thread)
My new tank is up & running but have had some issues with things ( I've never had LR...my sis gave me this LR) and still deciding what to do with my tank...types of fish ..I will always love SH's the best and if I decide to put a small pair in my tank - I will adjust some things in it to accomodate them! I'm REALLY TORN with wanting some new ponies!!
I just wanted to introduce & share my love with people who understand!!
Here is my UNDECIDED tank - trying to get all my h20 parameters, water and algae etc under control..

ps..I never had coral before...I think my sis called this is a torch coral??? Do they sting things??
Thanks...

Torch corals may sting other corals if within close proximity of them, but nothing to really worry about. They can sting hosting clownfish occassionally, which is why I wouldnt put horses with them.
I must say too, beautiful horses!!!

Love your horse pictures. Thier colors were beautiful. The problems with those types of tanks and horses are, they are really to small for lrg breed horses other them H fuscus or maybe barbs. As you probably aready know horses need a tank x 3 thier adult lengh. Also heat- unless you have a chiller them they tend to run too hot.
But as I said if you add a small chiller and take out the damsel and torch, you could house fuscus or barbs in that tank. or take the temos even lower and add H. breviceps

80 is ok for a reef tank, but seahorses need temps 72 to 77 degrees and its better if its towards the lower end. an Icecap chiller could be added and they are fairly inexpensive
