just planning ahead. I would love to get a seahorse in my 45. of course i have nothing yet in the tank. Of course there will be fish soon. But i would love to get a sea horse in there. I know that they are slow eaters and that they will most likely starve. Is there a way to get around this or any methods of feeding for them? i am planning on a non-aggressive tank. Any info appreciated.

well your right about slow eaters also the problem is the other fish you want to get would eat before the seahorse even thinks about eating.i think you have to go one way or the other or partition the tank for seahorses.

ive also read that another reason that they shouldnt be kept with fish, is that they usually get picked at.

Plus this would just be cruel to the sea-horse. You keep 3 or 4 in a 10 gallon and it's a-lot easier to feed them that way. They really are a fish that needs a species only tank. Hope this helps.

Seahorses are beautiful, but they will never last in your tank. They cannot get to the food, plus they are extrememly fragile. Don't even do it to yourself...you'll regret it. Sorry to bum you out!
