yes this is normal, seahorses are very close fish, and the male has a long sack like belly where the female has a round belly almost like she could purch her belly on to something, the best place to learn about seahorse is seahorse.org i have had black seahorse pots, and now i have dwarfs the dwarfs are the easiest to take care of , but, do a lot of reading before you get them to see if you have the time to put into them as they do take quite a lot of work, if you get seahorse from ocean riders they eat frozen food but , you will read more about this on the seahorse site. even with the best of care they still die and it will break your heart! they are very loving animals.
