Okay........i purchased a sealife protein skimmer with my wet/dry filter...........is this a good skimmer? I filled the filter up with water to see if it worked and it didn't seem quite right.............Now, the tank hasn't been fileld up ........i was just wondering how does it look in motion? I thought it woiuld make a tornado motion and little bubbles would come onto the emptying cup....but the water didn't even make it that high and the bubbles just floated up without being in a tornado.
I am about to set up the tank also....Check to see if i have everything listed below(reef tank 55 gallon)...:
filter
skimmer
thermometer
hydrometer
nitrite, nitrate, and ammonia test kits
need some good lighting(mine's no good)
live sand
live rock
What are some good powerheads?
and what's a refractometer?do i need one? how much is it?
synthethic sea salt
