Sealing Back of Tank

Almost done setting up my new 46 Bowfront.. Running an Emp 400 and a Prizm skimmer..
Here is my question.. Got a glass top but the plastic piece on the back is not wide enough to cover the back.. Any suggestions on how to close up the back between the glass and the tank?? Or is it not necessary.....

they come in different sizes. i have 2" on a few lids and 4" on some others. check a fish store.

emp 400 is a great filter...
you dont have to seal up the back of the tank, but if you get something like a firefish, he might end up on the carpet
