Here's my setup:
29 Gallon Acrylic with a 96 watt smart lamp
22 lbs live rock and 35 lbs of sand
2 perc clowns and 1 six line wrasse
mushrooms, zoanthids, sun coral, xenia and gsp
1 cleaner shrimp and 1 blood red shrimp
various snails and hermits
Feeding
I feed a small pinch of flakes in the morning and 1/8 cube of formula 1 or formula 2 in the evening. I do this 4 or 5 days a week. Once a week I spot feed with a whole cube of either squid, krill or mysis shrimp.
Maintenance
I top off with kalkwasser almost everyday.
I change one gallon of water once a week. After I've removed the water I run carbon for a few hours then I remove the carbon and add the new saltwater.
I test salinity when I do water changes.
I test ph, nitrate, alk and calc when my xenia's don't look right. If alk and/or calc are off I dose with Reef Calcium or Reef Carbonate.
The tank was set up in November 2002.
