searching for sand

i have been looking for a les expensive alternative to getting rid of my cc and switching to live sand or sand substrate. i was looking at some play sand at home depot that said on the package that it was cleaned and dried....is this sand reef safe or do i need to look for something else...or just except that i will hav to pay out the butt for sand at a lfs

:yes: You can buy your sand from Home Depot, it will probably be cheaper than your cc was. I rinsed my sand and soaked it for a few days and just kept changing the water. The last time i changed the water i used saltwater. I think this helped my tank to clear alot faster, it only took about 2 or 3 hours.
