What do you recommend me getting for a Yellow tang to feed on? Red, green, or brown seaweed selects or some of each?? Thanks for any input.

Around here, the brown is half the cost of the others. Problem is, copperband and yellow tang wont touch much of it...
havnt tried the others.

GET THE GREEN STUFF!! I have tried out the brown and green seaweed selects for my tang. I have to agree with Chris, mine wouldn't touch the brown, but goes crazy over the green. For the yellow tang, definately go with the green. :D

I feed the green sea weed select for my coral beauty/pygmy angel/yellow tang...all 3 prefer the green. Also I use formulas 1&2 along with spirulina formula and they actually like the formulas even more than the sea weed selects!!!

Being a fairly new person in the hobby ... I went out and bought the works for my Purple Tang: Green, Red, Brown, Purple... She only ate the green. (No I did not put all of it in the tank at once <img src="graemlins//silly.gif" border="0" alt="[silly]" /> ). I gave away all but the green. This stuff breaks up and floats around the tank. Messy. The tang eats what she wants and then the Turbo Snails decimate the rest. Smart little buggers. No matter where they are they come and chow down. Love it... but I digress.

My Tangs and Flame Angel eat all of it. The best thing to do is to get them one at a time and try it for yourself. All tanks and fish are different.

Do you have an oriental grocery in your area? Go to a oriental grocery and buy the nori from them. Just don;t get the salted nori. It is way cheaper than seaweed selects and it is the same stuff.
