Howdy, my first question on any message board. Anyways, I have to large Sebae anenome for 1 and 1.5 years respectively. Both are deep tan with blue/purple tips. My question is do they ever split. The diameter of these guys are each about 7 to 8 inches and I only have a 30 gal tank. I'd like to give little ones away. They were only initially about 3 inches across. Any suggestions, or just be happy with what I have. Sorry, No digital camera so no pics. I know how everyone likes them.

I have heard from a few that they do split, but I think its a bit rare. Quick question, what have you been doing to keep it healthy. Feeding tips? Lighting? I have a large one also and I was just curious. I am trying my best to keep this guy healthy.

The tank has two 55watt power compacts along with two normal fluorescent bulbs for a total 150 watts. The bulbs are one actinic and one full spectrum 72K for each type of bulb respectively, about 11 hours of light and the anenome are 12 and 16 inches from the surface of the water. I feed the anenome once a week with Hikari Bio-Pure Ocen Plankton. They seem to love it, however the clowns tend to feed them a little bit of formula one every day, not very much though. Each anenome receives approx. a .5"X.5" cube of plankton when i do feed them. They are in very low current. All water conditions are standard except trace element levels are unknown. I supplement 5 ml of Bio-Sea stront/moly, iodide, and aqua cal weekly and change 5 gallons of water every two weeks. The anenomes are kept company with a pygmy angel, two percs, a royal gramma, green chromis, psychedelic gobie and numerous corals, inverts, etc. Hope this helps, i'm sure it's more than you wanted to know.
By the way, the anenomes do not roam, they stayed where I initially placed them.
