I was wondering how long I can expect tank to cycle again after adding 30# of LR rubble to fuge. I had the rock shipped overnight. I added it last tues. I am doing 10% daily water changes along with adding ammo-loc. The tank is 2 1/2 months old. I have a 6 line wrasse, false clown, and coral beauty. They all are acting and eating fine sofar. Is there anything else I can do, or just ride it out and hope for the best. The params are as follows.
Heat 80
sal 1.026
ph=8.2
ammonia=1
nitrite=.2
nitrate=10
Thanks for any help, Jeff

keep checking your ammo, and nitrite if you cant cure the rock in a diffrent container, keep an eye on the fish and test often, depending on your die off as to how long it could take, smell the new rock. Smell funky? if so get it outta there

There is no set time frame for a tank to go through a cycle. You need to put the fish in a QT tank before the ammonia kills them. You should never cycle you tank with fish in it. LR should always be cured before you add it to your main tank or fuge. Best of luck to you.
