secret to sparklin tank...

I set up my tank monday evening and put the filter on tuesday and I haven't seen hardly ANY debree or anything less than crystal clear water....EVER! I have 25lbs of LR in my 55g. I think the secret to success for me has been, shaking the LR while still in the bucket b4 puttin in the tank AND.....THOROUGHLY "cleaning" the sand b4 putting in tank. I cleaned the sand for atleast 20-30 mins and I'm really glad I did! Also.....when I poured all 45 single 1 gallon "drinking water" gallon jugs :happy: in the tank I poured it onto a plate that sat on the bottom, therefore there was no haze or cloud of sand everywhere.....i'm so smart.

Wash everything, including your sand before you put it in your tank...That is the key to non-cloudy water...

Bahh, i'll lecture my fish about keepin their tank clean....or else i'll make em do more chores saturday mornin! :yes:
