I've been running a quarantine tank for a few months now. The last 6 weeks it's been empty.
I mix new water it goes into my display and old water from display goes into QT and the old QT water gets pitched.
I've noticed that I have alot of sediment building on the PVC pipe in the QT.
It's not a big deal and I clean it up with each water change but I'm curious what is causing this.
The sediment itself is kind of a dark grey/black.
I don't have the lights on a timer in my QT would this be part of the problem?
