Seperating two different types of zoas

Awhile ago I bought a small colony of zoas. There are two different types in the colony. There are peanut butter cups(orange center), and zoas that I dont know the id of, they have orange spots on the skirts, and in the very center there is a dull red. But anyways the peanut butter cups have really taken off with their growing. There are tons of them now. The others have spread only a little bit. I would like to seperate the two colonies, so I can monitor their growths easier. They are all on a flat piece of rock. How would I got about doing this?

I thought about that, but I am not sure it will work with this rock. I can post pics if necessary. Could I use something like a razor blade, or exacto knife to cut the smaller colony off? And then attach it to something else?

Yes, your best bet is to dig into the rock a little bit with whatever tool to get some of the rock with the polyps, then glue that piece onto a bigger rock. Does this make sense?
