Here’s my setup: 210 Gallon planned FOWLR (exeption of cleaner crew) with a 30L sump housing the skimmer and 29gallon converted to a fuge with 6.5” DSB, LR, and chaeto. Basically, very mature live rock transferred from my 150 to the 210. Sand bed is new in the tank and the 150 sand bed was used to make the DSB in the fuge. There should be between 200-250 lbs of live rock in the tank. The current stock transferred from the 150; all at least 18 months old:
Transfer List:
LN Butterfly
False Perc
Royal Gramma
CBS
The CBS may go because I like other shrimp better and they may have conflicts. He came with a cleaner combo but may be traded in at LFS:
“Must Haves”:
Lipstick Tang
Blue Hippo Tang
Heni
Skunk cleaner
Fire shrimp
5x Pep family
Proposed:
I have an affinity for pygmy angels…. Are Potters more plausible these days than years past? I would love to have a few different pygmies if possible. I love the Potters, but could compromise on the Rusty or Eibli. The Cherub is a favorite as is the Flame. The plan would be to stage them #1 Potters, #2 Cherub, #3 Flame.
Some tang from the Scopas, Salifin, Purple group
Potentially a Niger Trigger, but I plan on the standard clean up crews and don’t want to be providing expensive snacks for him.
Flame hawk: same concerns as the trigger
Maybe a big angel- probably an emperor with hopes of watching him go through "the change".
So, I guess the idea situation:
Gramma; perc; LN Butterfly
Heni
Skunk cleaner
5x Pep family
Blue Hippo Tang
Fire shrimp
Potters
Cherub?
Flame?
Lipstick Tang
Sailfin or purple
Maybe: Niger; hawk; big angel

you may have trouble mixing angels with the emperor angel,(very beautiful fish) and others in their family pomacanthus because they are very territorial to other angels. you would probably have better luck mixing dwarfs angels with more larger peaceful angels such as chaedontoplus. however since you have a 210 gallon tank, you may not have a problem with the emperor.
Add the dwarfs first and the emperor as your very last fish. If you want two large angels, like maybe emperor and french angels, add them at the exact same time of introduction.
heres a pic of chaedontoplus dobulai (scribbled angelfish) (amazing)

My niger does tend to eat my snails if he hasnt had his fill when fed. In that, since ive set up the 150g FOWLR hes eaten about 6 snails (tanks only been up 5 months now) so i would say not too bad. My hawk hasnt eaten any. Though i have started giving them all live manila clams about 4 a week :)
